Reports to: Production Manager

We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Production Manager to be based in our Hunedoara manufacturing facility.


Job Summary

The Manufacturing Production Manager is responsible for all the production operations for one shift, leading multiple teams, ensuring safety of the employees, quality of the products, achieving production goals, and ensuring on time delivery. Promoting a best in class culture across the organisation contributing to the plant growth targets;


Key Responsibilities

  • Assign daily tasks to the team leaders to achieve and exceed the daily production plan and department goals, while maximizing production efficiency;

  • Identify and implement efficiency & quality improvements;

  • Ensure TPM schedulle is followed and all equipments have a best in class TPM level;

  • Ensure customer orders are filled efficiently, correctly and on time;

  • Adjust production plan, if necesary, while maintaining the company safety, productivity and quality targets;

  • Ensure proper collaboration with all departments daily to assess needs that support current and future production;

  • Implement and follow-up production standards and procedures & motivate people to respect them;

  • Works closely with production planners and provides the neccesary data to ensure the production plan is always up to date and balanced;

  • Train, motivate, monitor and evaluate performance of all employees from his shift as per dedicated training programme ensuring their ability to safely perform their functions; takes disciplinary actions as required;

  • Manage and report progress of prescribed KPIs daily, weekly and monthly.

  • Identify, proactively raise and implement LEAN & 5S improvements;

  • Actively participate in LEAN and 5S process improvement projects to achieve cost savings in labor and materials;

  • Promote positive employee relations, communication and teamwork across all production areas and levels;

  • Ensure compliance with Company standards for health & safety, quality, cost control, waste reduction, and Company employment policies including the Code of Conduct;

  • Identify and implement waste reduction oportunities and ensure waste reduction rules and guidlines are respected;

  • Fill in for other managers/supervisors when required;

  • Perform other job related duties as required by direct manager;

Education and Experience

  • Technical degree in a related field, e.g. Manufacturing engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 3 or more years of manufacturing supervision or management, with a demonstrated ability to lead people (minim 50 people).

  • Demonstrated experience with lean manufacturing techniques and process improvement;

  • Proficiency in English (written & verbal);

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings;

  • Experience with multiple tasks management and production planning;

  • Experience with metal processing/welding or related fields is an advantage;

  • Demonstrated ability to think, troubleshoot and react quickly to changing situations and adjust to changing priorities.

  • Performs as a contributer and collaborative team member.

 

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Manufacturing/industrial environment; some dust and noise;

  • Opened to work on 3 shifts;
